it's started!

the joys of homeownership that is....

first, let me just say, never did i imagine i would enjoy going to home depot as much as i enjoy going to the mall.  my mall time is mostly non-existent now...weird right?!  don't worry though, i make up for it by online shopping and sneaking in a lil shoe shopping while at TJMaxx Home Goods :)

anyways this lil blog has been repurposed (got that word from the diy network!)  it is no longer to share the boring parts of my life (ok not boring, just not fun enough to type about).   it has been repurposed to show the amazing progress we have accomplished on the new house! 

a little about the house: we've been in the house since may 27th.  it was a forclosure and no one had been living in it since nov 2010 (we think).  we got lucky as the bank did have some contractors fixing some of the things in the house.  unfortunately it wasn't the ugly cosmetic stuff, but i guess that's something we can handle :)  my plan is to post before and after pics as we slowly work thru all the projects we want to complete.
